The Sycamores is a three-storey development with one and two bedroom apartments and communal resident facilities, designed for general needs over 55’s with consideration given to early onset Dementia with an open plan layout and a person-centred approach helping residents to stay independent.
The range of communal facilities has been designed to the highest standards providing relaxed spaces, with some open to the wider community and others for private resident use. All areas have been designed for visual contrast and noise attenuation with bespoke screening between dining and lounge areas for sensitive residents, allowing everyone to enjoy leisure time and interact with others in a safe environment.
The scheme includes:
- Foyer area and Café offering drinks and snacks, leading to a dining area with a range of seating types and designed with residents and the wider public in mind. Supervised by the main office, this area is a buffer zone to the outside world with subliminal changes in flooring and wall art compared to the more homely residential circulation zones.
- Hair and beauty salon, designed to appeal to male and female clientele, with bespoke Graphic branding.
- Dedicated Hobby area for a range of group activities.
- Communal lounge and dining areas linked to the Foyer for use by residents and the wider community, with acoustic screens, and TV area.
- Assisted bathing spa suite, with planting and furnishings to create a luxury experience.
- Colour coded corridors, with matching wayfinding signage and photography / artwork.
